Handover Inspections are commonly referred to as Practical Completion Inspections and are carried out once the builder has completed his schedule of works, the builders final clean and prior to occupation.
A handover inspection details any work which has not been completed satisfactory, in a tradesman like manner. It gives the client an opportunity to have an independent party and qualified building consultant assess the individual building finishes and determine if they are acceptable or classed as a defect. This report provides the client with a voice so that these defects may be addressed by the builder and have them rectified. Should any defect be questioned on the report, the builder is able to address this with us, as the building consultant, and not yourself.
Our report ensures you get piece of mind with your completed project, and that any substandard work will be rectified to a finish which is detailed in your building contract and scope of works.
